:bulletpurple:Anything Monkees related is allowed to be submitted into the gallery, whether it be related to the group, individual members (this includes pre- and post-Monkees lives), or even their songs.

:bulletpink:We accept drawings, paintings, photography, fanfiction, poetry...basically any form of art as long it is Monkees related. Pictures and screencaps are fine as long as they have been edited in some way.

:bulletpurple:Please respect all and no flames! This is a place to share a common interest and basically have fun, so let's try to be friendly, okay?

:bulletpink:No stealing or plagiarism! If we find you have stolen another person's work, you will be given a warning and the work will be removed. If it continues, you will be kicked out.

:bulletpurple:We are always open to suggestions. If you have any ideas to contribute to improve the group, we are all ears! Or if you simply have a question or two, just leave a comment or send us a note.

Serenade"Are we there yet?" Val asked.
Mike grinned. "Nope."
Val crossed her legs. Ten minutes ago, Mike came to her house and told her he was going to take her somewhere "special". When she got inside his car, Mike blindfolded her and told her not to peek. 
As anxious and excited Val was, she hoped Mike wasn't taking her to a motel.
"C'mon, just gimme a hint!" She begged. She heard Mike chuckle. "We're almost there, don't worry." Val decided not to ask any more questions. She and Mike were silent for the rest of the drive. A few minutes later, she felt the car stop. Mike stepped out of the car and came around to help Val out.
"Stay here," he said once she was out. Val heard Mike open then close the trunk. What was he getting?
Mike held her hand. "Follow me, okay?" Val nodded. She held Mike's hand tightly as he slowly walked along... Wherever they were.
Val didn't hear him open any doors, and she could feel a cool breeze, so whatever Mike had planned must be outside.

The Dentist"'Ey Peter! Check out these muffins Micky made!" Davy exclaimed, rather bouncily.
"Yeah, Peter, check 'em out!" Micky's grinned reached as far as a billboard, "I made them from a recipe I found when Davy and I were looking for valuables on the beach yesterday." He nodded and scratched his head as Davy shrugged.
"Now Micky," Mike cleared his throat, "I didn't know you were much of a cook." He leaned against the refrigerator, wool cap tipped a bit in front of his face.
"I'm a better cook than you," Micky teased.
Peter quietly swallowed and spoke up, "I'll try those muffins, Micky. I guess I'm a bit hungry after watching that television program.The Dentist by ~RingoCat
Propinquity - Part 9
Mike POV

I sat on my bed thinking, Sophia had been avoiding us for a week now. It's my fault, who else could it be? The only thing that helped me feel a bit better was when I wrote that song. Now that she's heard it she is avoiding us. Avoiding me.

"Mike, come down here. Now!" Davy yelled from the living room.

"Cool it, I'm coming" I replied and headed downstairs reluctantly, "What are you going on about-"

I stopped Sophia was here. With James. James. In my house. This was not going to go well.

"Hey guys" I said starting to walk again.

"Hi Mike" Sophia said looking to the ground.

"Hello" James spat.

Monkees Fanfic - Always an End"You ever think about…" Davy paused, waving his hand dismissively. "Nah, never mind."

Sometimes Mike got a sense that the words 'never mind' meant more than a mere dismissal. There was something within the tone, the inflection, that caused him to believe that there was something important on Davy's mind.

As busy as he wanted to pretend he was, Mike sat down on the railing next to his roommate, looking out over the beach. It was starting to get cool with the sun going down, which drew out the songs of the night-birds ready to take over the evening from their daytime cousins. This is a great group! I'm thoroughly enjoying the reads and love the art! I look forward to contributing -- back in the 80's I wrote a few of my own episide scripts. For now, though, I'll keep on reading. Thanks for adding me!
